One stormy night at the White House Obama was napping in his parlor on his favorite couch. Earlier that day he was having some trouble making decisions and writing a speech. Obama has a lot of responsibilities. He's the president for crying out loud. He had no one to really talk to about his issues because he knew they wouldn't understand. He has to try and please everyone in the United States but unfortunately he knows he cant. He started to think about what would Washington do, because he was the first president and he couldn't imagine how he felt being the first president with all of these new pressures and stresses. All of a sudden Washington appears in Obama parlor.Obama eyes were huge and he didn't know if he was dreaming or if that was real life. Obama calms down and Washington walks a little closer. He looks fairely old, he looks kind though, and sophisticated. Washington looked Obama in the eye and said " I hope I shall possess firmness and virtue enough to maintain what I consider the most enviable of all titles, the character of an honest man." Obama was still so shocked he couldn't say anything to Washington but when he finally could Washington disappeared. BOOM POW POW POW The sound of lightening and thunder woke Obama up immediately. He smiled with comfort, he remembered his dream and what the first president of the United States told him. Obama knew that he had to stop worrying and do what he thinks will benefit our country and to be honest about it.

January 29, 2013; Blown Away!
I HATE WIND!!! Wind is definitely my enemy. Wind and I have never been good friends. Wind likes to push my buttons. Wind always, ALWAYS has to mess my hair up, make my scarves go crazy, and he likes to blow stuff out of my hands. I will never understand wind. I just wish wind would blow away forever.
January 28, 2013; Apples or Oranges?
I cannot decide between apples and oranges because they are both very tasty. I'm picky about both fruits. I prefer for them to be cold but if they're not that's okay. I will only eat Fuji, the green ones, or the granny smith red apples. I never dip them in Carmel though, that ruins the apple. I like it when apples are crisp, they have to be the perfect balance between sweet and sour. When I eat oranges they cannot have seeds. They have to be the right size too because usually the bigger ones are usually mushy and they taste funny.
Apples and oranges are somewhat familiar in taste to me. Sometimes they can be extremely sour or sweet. The texture between apples and oranges are different though. If I had to decide on which one to eat based on texture I would go with an apple. I love the smell of fresh oranges and apples. The smell of fresh fruit in general is amazing. I'm just a fruity person. I can never go wrong with fruit it's my favorite.

January 25,2013; Aglets
What is an aglet? For those of you that have no idea what it is, it's the little plastic thing at the end of your shoe laces.
I haven't had very much experience with aglets in the last few years because I started wearing shoes that didn't have shoe laces because they were more convenient. When I was younger though, man I use to love to chew on aglets. I would love to take the laces off my shoes (brand new shoes of course) and chew on those things until they were messed up. OH I would get in so much trouble for chewing on those things. One time my nanny caught me chewing on those things like an animal, without hesitation she came after me with the paddle. She wore me out. Looking back now I think it's hilarious but then it was awful. I cried and cried, that was the day i stopped chewing on my aglets. That's the day I started a new habit. Chewing on my fingernails.

January 23, 2013; Movies and Popcorn
Which is better TV or movies?
I prefer movies or regular Tv shows because there are no commercials, they usually have better plots or story themes, and they last longer.
I do have a few favorite Tv shows but I catch myself ignoring them and not following them as much as I use to. I don't have a very relaxed schedule like I use to so I don't have the time to sit down and watch television.
I know, I basically contradicted myself because movies last longer than Tv shows, I can't seem to find time to follow a series, how can i ever sit down and watch a whole movie? It's possible though, I usually put in a movie around the time I go to bed so i can wind down and relax. I usually fall asleep towards the end but I rather do what I have to do with no interuptions and then watch something.

January 21,2013; Nanny's House
For some reason when grandma makes something it's always good but when I try to make something or when my mother does it always tastes awful. There"s something about grandmas that I guess I will never understand until I become a grandma.
I have always known my grandma as nanny. I'm not sure who started that but I called my nanny grandma one time and I thought she was going to disown me.
Going to nanny's house is always the best because she always has good stuff to eat and snack on. She is the reason I can't lose any weight. For real, if you're on a diet don't go to nanny's. I've avoided her house the last few months and I'll probably keep avoiding it until senior trip. I have to get swim suit ready. Nanny always has some kind of dessert and all kinds of candy in the drawer. She text me one afternoon and told me to come over after school. Me thinking something was wrong rushed over there, thank goodness everything was alright. She wanted to surprise me with peanut butter flips. That's our favorite thing to eat for breakfast or a dessert. I was so surprised but she knew I was watching what I ate but she said I needed to cheat a little. My nanny has always been full of surprises. I always look forward to our long conversations at the kitchen table with our peanut butter flips and glasses of milk.

January 18, 2013; Kleenex's
I love tissue paper. I use a lot of Kleenex tissues. I use them for make up, I use them to wipe tears away, I use them to blow my nose when I'm sick. I carry a small thing of travel size Kleenex's. They come in handy. I get made fun of for having them with me but usually other people need them.
In the Kindergarten class they go through at least one box of Kleenex's a week and they go through tons of germ x. These kids are crazy but I'm very glad they like to keep their little noses clean because I can not deal with boogers. Boogers and snot just gross me out and scare me. I'm so thankful for soft Kleenex tissues.

January 21, 2013; Waylon Grey
Waylon Grey was a family man. He was the ultimate dad and husband, he did anything and everything for his wife and daughter because they were his world. His life revolved around them. Waylon was also a business man. He was president for his dads company. Since he was president he had the freedom to work wherever he wanted, he could work from home or in the office. He did both. Waylon and his family was very wealthy but he didn't like to flaunt it. Him and his family lived on this little farm a few miles away from the city that his wife inherited. On the little farm Waylon built a reasonably sized house big enough for the three of them. They were the perfect family until that awful summer day. That day Waylon decided to go into the office. His wife and daughter decided to stay at home and have a lazy day. The air conditioner stopped working, so his wife decided to call the repair man. When she stepped out of the living room for a few minutes her daughter made her way outside. Down the road the farmers were trying to fix their airplane to spray the crops. Their daughter was a wanderer, she made her way down the road, the farmers didn't see her and when they started the plane to take off a horrible accident happened. Waylon remembers getting the call but he doesn't remember rushing home. He recalls all of the police cars and ambulances being there but nothing else. He blamed his wife for the accident and never forgave her. They eventually got a divorce and he never had the air conditioner fixed. He was in a state of depression that made him go insane. He was lost and not willing to be found.

January 17,2013; Texting In Class
So every student does it, that's no secret. I hate it when students complain how they got their phone taken away in class because they were on it. Seriously? They over use these excuses, it's so annoying, "I was checking the time," "I was texting my mom", "I thought my phone was ringing, I needed to check it." Teachers are not stupid. We have clocks in the classroom, that's why we have the office an a school phone in case parents needed to get a hold of their child. If any student is going to text in class, they have to be smooth about it. I've had my phone taken away one time. Did I complain about it? Absolutely not, I knew what I was doing, so I handed it over no problem. Do I text all the time in class? No, I honestly don't. When I do it's usually at the beginning of class before the teacher is even in the room or in between classes because we get five minutes. My phone is a major distraction, but I'm responsible with it. I'm not going to whip it out in a the middle of an assignment and start texting my sister. My eyesight is so bad that i can't hold my phone down to text or even read a text. I have to hold it close to my face so there is really no point in me to even try and text in class. I'm a senior anyway, my schedule is so easy the kindergarten students are jealous. I have a lot of free time on my hands and i normally use that to do my homework or study but on occasion I use that time to play Sims 3. Anyway, to conclude my rant for the day my advise to any young being that wants to be rebellious in class... save it for your parents, you're going to get caught, and you're going to get in trouble for you snappy attitude about it. You're welcome!

January 15,2013; 68 Days of School Left For Seniors!
There's only sixty-eight days of school left for seniors. My parents weren't kidding when they told me that this year would fly by. I've had the BEST senior year so far. We have basically two more months left and I can't wait to see what they have in store for me. Thinking about graduation and how this whole experience is about to end is so bittersweet. I'm sad, excited, nervous, happy, a little overwhelmed, and scared all at the same time. Looking back I've had an amazing experience from elementary to Jr. high and now high school. My class is small but it's filled with unique individuals. People look at our class and wonder how in the world do they all get along because we are all so different but somehow so much a like. My class is not just a class it's a family. We treat each other like brothers and sisters, we fight, we play games, we laugh, and do it all over again. I've made so many memories with these people in the last thirteen years, especially the last four it's unreal. We have all grown as individuals, we have figured out who we are (either we have or we're still trying to), we've grown up. These next few months are going to fly by and I cannot stress to my class enough how much they have impacted my life. They have been smiles and laughs to share jokes with, shoulders to lean on, hands to hold, and just all around loving people. After graduation I may not get to see any of them again but I will always have a place for them in my heart no matter what. High school has been beyond wonderful but I know that the memories and good times don't stop here. I'm going to go out into the real world and make something of myself. Start my real life, make a difference, do what I'm passionate about, and get a fresh start. That's where people get confused I think. They think that high school is the best years of their life and that they'll never get to create memories like that again, high school is a once in a lifetime experience and people won't make memories like that again but they are bound to make better memories. High school is where they prep us for real life. I'm excited to see what life has in store for me. The best is yet to come.

January 14, 2013; ASU vs. MSU
AH, college! It's difficult to compare two colleges, well it is for me anyway. I love Arkansas State University and Missouri State University.
ASU is closer to home, I already have some friends there, I now the campus, I know the town. ASU's campus is beautiful, it's not spaced out, it feels homey, they offer a lot of activities for students to participate in especially during rush week. Going Greek at ASU is a big deal, to me is seems like it is a big deal there. I've been told that if you don't go Greek you're a nobody. I don't really agree with that. ASU is diverse and there's a lot of different clicks people can be a part of but being Greek is the biggest one. Academic wise, ASU seems to offer a wide variety of classes to take. Almost every college has a wide variety. ASU didn't send me anything in the mail. ASU seems to be a little unorganized but it still seems like a good school with a good atmosphere.
MSU's campus is more modern than any other campus I've seen. MSU has newer buildings than ASU. MSU just built a new rec center for students. It has an Olympic sized swimming pool, a workout area for men and woman, and a lounge area. MSU also has a lot of activities for students to participate in. Going Greek there doesn't seem like it's that big of a deal. MSU is very diverse, everyone will find a place to fit in no matter what. MSU also has a wide variety of classes to take and areas to major in. MSU is really good about sending me stuff in the mail about what I want to major in. They are full of information and there is always someone there to answer questions.

January 11, 2013; Sandy Cheeks
I love going to the beach but I hate sand. Sand is awful! It gets in everything. This past summer my family and I stayed in a house for a week. The house was right on the beach. For a whole week I had sand in my hair, in my bed, in my mouth, on my feet, all over my clothes, it was everywhere. It was even in the shower, so it really didn't help any when I would get in the shower to rinse off the sand. Sand was even under my toenails and under my finger nails. I even brought sand home with me. It was in all of my bags, even my purse and I never took my purse on the beach. I don't know how people could live by the beach because of the sand. I guess people would get use to it but I couldn't even get use to it for a week. The only complaint I had about that vacation was the sand. We took our family pictures on the beach. I had to roll around in the sand for almost two hours. It's very uncomfortable when the photographer makes you lay on this huge rock that's hot with sand all over your legs and my legs were sun burnt. It wasn't a very good combination. I was not a happy camper that day. The only thing sand did for me was make my feet soft because I didn't wear shoes all week but nobody knew that because I don't let people touch my feet. Aside form my sandy problems I had a great vacation.

January 10, 2013; Howl Yes!
Even though graduation is five months away, I've already decided to go to ASU and live with my sister. A lot of people tell me to create a back-up plan but I don't need one. My mind is made and I've already moved a few things in. I'm beyond ready for graduation. For the last four months I've been spending the majority of my free time in Jonesboro, just to get the feel of the place. I love the town and the atmosphere of it. The town is growing rapidly, theres tons of things to do, and there's at least fifteen different ice cream places five minutes away from my house. I feel good about the decision I made. The only thing I'm worried about is living with my sister. When she lived at home we HATED each other. We were never close when she was in high school but ever since she graduated we've become closer. Now, that I've been spending an enormous amount of time with her we've been better than ever and that shocks my parents. Like I said, I feel great about this move. There's no reason I can't move into basically a free house, in a familiar town, with my older sister. I have it made and I couldn't thank my family enough for providing and supporting me every step of the way with my decisions. I'm so blessed.

January 9, 2013; Viola The Great
Once upon a time there was a young lady named Viola. Viola was her own kind of pretty, she was awkward, smart, and shy. Viola was adopted into this amazing family. They loved her unconditionally and gave her everything she ever wanted but Viola felt like that was too much. She decided one day that it was time to branch out on her own. She was preparing for college that fall and she wanted to be on her own completely. Her parents thought that was ridiculous, they wanted to support her to make things easier for her because they knew how stressful college could be. For weeks and weeks her parents begged her to let them pay for everything but Viola refused. Viola had a pretty good head on her shoulders so her parents knew she wasn't crazy. Finally, Viola explained to them her reasoning behind her idea of making it on her own. She said she wasn't a princess and she was sick and tired of being treated like one. She also said that she was raised in such a good home, her adopted parents took care of everything, they bought everything she wanted and needed, she just wanted to show them how much she appreciated it by making it on her own. Of course her parents were concerned but they understood what she was wanting so they let her go on with her plans.
Over the summer Viola worked at the bank during the day, a restaurant at night, and on weekends she babysat. By the fall Viola had saved enough money to pay for a semester of college. She had worked her self to death but she felt accomplished. She made it to where her classes didn't interfere with her day job at the bank and her weekend job babysitting. She was doing good. The first semester flew by, while on all of her holiday breaks she worked to save money. By the time summer rolled around and finals passed she took on more jobs to pay for next years tuition. Viola barely had a social life, but she did have a 4.0 GPA, she made the deans list, and she loved her classes and professors. Viola was making it. Her parents were proud and she was happy. Viola kept this harsh cycle of work and school going until she graduated with the best degree there is.
The end.

January 8, 2013; Chewy!
My sisters dog is the worlds worst dog ever! That little mop she calls a dog is beyond destructive. He's eight pounds, he has red shaggy hair like Chewbacca, and he has the ugliest under bite ever. Every time my sister decides to come home she brings that "designer" mutt. He pees in my bathroom on the same rug unless there's a puppy pad there. A puppy pad is a pad that you use to train your dog with so they wont go to the bathroom anywhere else except for that pad. Leo (my sisters dog) doesn't like them what so ever. He likes to use it in my bathroom and my room. This dog has it out for me because he wont do his business anywhere else in the house. I just love waking up at six in the morning and stepping in pee.
I've tried my best to "bond" with this thing. I even gave him a special nickname Chewy. I like to play with him and buy him cute outfits when I'm at my sisters house but when she comes home to visit he's a monster. I can't stand him when he's at my house and my huge lab Braxton can't stand him either. Braxton three years old and he's starting to become overly protective and grumpy. He snaps at chewy when he's around me. Chewy thinks he's playing though. I have a really bad feeling that Braxtons going to eat him one of these days. Either that or I'm going to get rid of him for making messes in my room and bathroom.

January 9,2013: Circles or Squares?
Which is better circles or squares?
Circles are fun, you can create a lot of cool designs with circles but circles are childish to me. I prefer squares because they are nice and neat. Circles are sloppy.
I like to hang a lot of pictures on my walls at home, instead of buying the cool circle frames I rather buy the cool square ones. I rather buy the square ones because they make my walls look organized and sophisticated. My older sister has circle and square frames on her walls, it looks nice and funky but it's simply not my style.

January 4, 2013; Marshmellow Chairs
Chairs, there are many different types of them. There are big ones, small ones, hard plastic ones that make girls hair all staticy, there are chairs with long arms, legs, and even ones with wheels. I prefer the big squishy chairs that basically swallow you when you sit in them. I like to call big chairs like that marshmellow chairs. They are very comfortable and soft. Usually hard plastic chairs like the ones I have to it in at school hurt my back but marshmellow chairs are heaven to my back.
Everyday I look forward to relaxing in my huge marshmellow chair. I believe that everyone should have a huge marshmellow chair in their home. It's so nice to kick back with a warm cup of hot chocolate, my dog, my favorite zebra blanket, and my favorite chick flick. Try it!
